Reese Witherspoon Has An Elle Woods Moment at ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ Premiere in NYC
Reese Witherspoon wows in a bright pink dress at the premiere of Where The Crawdads Sing held at the Museum of Modern Art on Monday (July 11) in New York City.
The 46-year-old producer paid homage to her iconic character of Elle Woods on the green carpet while joining the stars of the film, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John-Smith, and Harris Dickinson.
David Strathairn, Ahna O’Reilly, Michael Hyatt, Jojo Regina, Sterling Macer, Jr, Eric Ladin, and Bill Kelly, who also star in the movie, were spotted on the green carpet too.
Here’s a synopsis for the movie: Where the Crawdads Sing tells the story of Kya (Edgar-Jones), an abandoned girl who raised herself to adulthood in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumors of the ‘Marsh Girl’ haunted Barkley Cove, isolating the sharp and resilient Kya from her community.
Drawn to two young men from town, Kya opens herself to a new and startling world; but when one of them is found dead, she is immediately cast by the community as the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what actually happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal the many secrets that lay within the marsh.
The film will hit theaters on July 15. Watch the trailer here!
FYI: Reese wore Emilia Wickstead. Daisy wore a Gucci dress with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
