Austin Butler Reacts to Paparazzi Photos of Him & Kaia Gerber Vacationing in Mexico

Austin Butler just got back home from a trip to Mexico over the New Year’s weekend with girlfriend Kaia Gerber and her family.

The 31-year-old actor’s first stop following the vacation was the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, where he was honored with the Breakthrough Performance Award for his work in Elvis.

While doing interviews at the gala, Austin was asked about his vacation and certain paparazzi photos that showed him playing photographer for Kaia.

Entertainment Tonight‘s reporter said to him, “I did see some photos that made it look like you’re a very good photographer. Are you a good photographer?”

Austin responded, “Wait a second. I don’t know what photos you’re referring to. I do like to take pictures.”

The reporter added, “You know you never have any privacy, so of course there were photos of you taking photos over the holiday.”

Austin replied, “Oh, was this in Mexico? You know, it’s funny because we were in a pool and I saw a hang-glider going by and I thought, ‘I wonder if that’s paparazzi.’ It must have been.”

Austin laughed really hard when he was told he has been deemed the “internet’s best boyfriend” for getting those angles of Kaia.
