Rachel Zegler Calls Out the ‘Senselessly Mean’ Critics of Her Movie ‘Shazam 2’

Rachel Zegler might have only signed on for Shazam 2 because she needed a job, but she actually did enjoy making the movie!

The 21-year-old actress went viral last week for her very honest answer when asked why she wanted to play Anthea in the DC Comics movie.

Now, Rachel is speaking out in response to people criticizing the movie and she’s defending the film.

“hey our film is actually really good! but mostly i just absolutely loved making it and the people i met whilst doing so 🙂 go see it! give it a chance. we have an 85% audience score for a reason. ❤️,” Rachel tweeted.

She added, “some people out there and just being… senselessly mean. and it’s unnecessary. and i know, i know, ‘if you can’t handle the heat…’ and all that nonsense, and you’re right. but our film is actually very good. it’s just cool to hate on fun nowadays. that’s okay. we’re good. ❤️”

The box office numbers for Shazam! Fury of the Gods are in and they’re not that strong.
