Are TXT‘s Beomgyu and ITZY‘s Yeji the latest power couple?

TikTok user @kimjxnniebxyy shared a headline for a news article allegedly from August 12 that announced that TXT’s Beomgyu and ITZY’s Yeji were “officially dating.” They captioned it, “Best couple.”

The second slide included a photo allegedly of the two idols spotted out in public on a date together.

The TikTok went viral with 3.5M views and 528.8K likes at the time of writing. Netizens were shocked, especially since many other dating news, such as BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo, recently emerged.

But a lot of fans were also happy and supportive of Beomgyu and Yeji’s relationship.

While many were quick to congratulate Beomgyu and Yeji, the “news” is not actually true. First of all, that headline was fake. The source never tweeted such a thing. Nor has the idols’ respective companies released any statements.

Well, what about the photographic evidence? That was actually taken from filming of the 2022 C-Drama The Oath of Love. So, the couple was not Beomgyu and Yeji but actors Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan.

Hopefully, if either Beomgyu or Yeji publicly date in the future, fans will be as supportive, if not more.
