Bomba rescues two hikers in Kota Damansara, Setia Alam

PETALING JAYA: Two hikers were rescued in different locations in Selangor on Sunday (Sept 3) after they sustained injuries.

In the first incident, a 25-year-old woman injured her right leg while hiking at Taman Eco Rimba in Kota Damansara.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a team of firemen was dispatched to the scene once the distress call was received at noon.

“Upon arrival at the scene, the victim was immobilised due to the injury to her right leg.We brought her down using a stretcher,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

In the second incident, a 38-year-old woman sprained her ankle after falling down while hiking at View Point Tasik Cermin, Setia Alam.

Ahmad Mukhlis said the incident occurred at about 10.04am.

“She fell some 1km from the hiking trail. We managed to rescue her and sent her for treatment for her injuries,” he said.
