Netizens React To Eerie Photos Showing The Reality Of Being A K-Pop Idol In Public Featuring ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao
“Now do y’all see how idols develop anxiety and panic disorders?”
Though there are undoubtedly a lot of great things about being a K-Pop idol, there are many downsides to the occupation as well. From working ridiculously long and hard hours to being stalked by “fans” to being forced to go on harsh diets, it must take a strong will to stick with the idol life.
Recently, a couple of photos of what K-Pop idols deal with regularly when they’re in public has caught the attention of netizens online due to just how eerie and uncomfortable they are.
The photos are of ZEROBASEONE‘s Zhang Hao, who is a rookie idol that hasn’t even been in the industry for very long. But despite his short time there, we have to wonder how many times he’s had to deal with situations like this.
One photo shows a far-away glimpse of the idol, where he has seemingly just stepped onto an escalator going up. And only mere feet away, a group of fans are staring him down with phones in hand, giving him no space for privacy or comfort.
The other photo is seemingly one taken by one of the people crowding Zhang Hao in the first image, and it shows him looking incredibly (and understandably) uncomfortable in the situation he’s in.
These photos became the subject of an online forum post, where netizens are sharing their dismay and irritation that Zhang Hao and other idols have to deal with such invasions of privacy and personal space like this.
We hope that ZEROBASEONE’s label starts to employ more bodyguards and security so this doesn’t happen again.
