Hilarie Burton, Bethany Joy Lenz & Sophia Bush Celebrate ‘Female Friendships’ on ‘One Tree Hill’s 20th Anniversary Amid Strikes

Hilarie Burton, Bethany Joy Lenz and Sophia Bush did something clever for One Tree Hill‘s 20th anniversary.

The trio of actresses, who played Peyton, Haley and Brooke on the hit WB/CW series, chose to still acknowledge the important date, but as the strikes are still ongoing, found a way to toast the show, without toasting the show.

Instead, they chose to celebrate “female friendships” that came out of it.

Alongside a few images of them together, Sophia wrote that she was “not gonna mention the job that’s turning 20 today while our union is on strike.”

“So instead I’ll celebrate 20 years of female friendships being the ultimate love stories and the reclamation of our good, bad, ugly, and beautiful through @dramaqueensoth,” she added. “Thank you to our #fanfam who have encouraged us to find and use our voices onscreen and off. #Lucky23 #20years.”

In a reply to her post, Hilarie wrote, “Hey. We made it. Love you.”

Bethany also chose to celebrate the show without a mention of the name, and shared throwback images from filming.

“20 years of SOMETHING magical 🐦‍⬛🏀 This will always be my family. Thank you to everyone who made it possible 🙏” she captioned the post on Instagram.
