ALOR GAJAH: Three men were charged at the Magistrate’s Court with the murder of their friend, whose decomposed body was found in an overgrown field at a plantation in Pulau Sebang here.

However, no plea was recorded when the charges were read to A.A Dinesh, R.C Veeraganeish and V. Sasikumar before Magistrate Nurul Bahiyah Kamaluddin on Wednesday (Sept 27).

Based on the charge sheet, the trio, all aged 25, had allegedly caused the death of R. Darvnrajh, 24.

The offence was allegedly committed between 5.24am and 9am close to an open area along the road near an oil palm plantation in Kemuning, Pulau Sebang here on Sept 10.

The charges were framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code which carries the death sentence or maximum prison term of 40 years and not less than 12 strokes of cane, upon conviction.

The prosecution was carried out by Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhamad Ehsan Nasarudin while all three were represented by a counsel who requested anonymity.

The court fixed Oct 27 as the next mention date.
