Taiwanese Host Hu Gua, 64, Furious At Rumours That He Is Having Affair With 20-Year-Old Cheerleader

Rumours swirled after Hu Gua, who is married to actress Ding Rou An, was spotted supporting Taiwanese cheerleader Michelle Hsiung at baseball games.

Veteran Taiwanese host Hu Gua, 64, recently found himself embroiled in rumours that he is seeing a 20-year-old cheerleader.

His alleged love interest, Michelle Hsiung from Taiwan’s Rakuten Girls, cheerleaders for baseball team Rakuten Monkeys, is also a member on Variety Get Together, which Hu Gua hosts.

The pair are said to have gotten so close that Hu Gua’s wife, actress Ding Rou An, 53, is extremely upset.

Speculation began after Hu Gua was seen driving his car to help Michelle move house last week. He appeared to be very close with Michelle’s dad.

Together with a production team, they later travelled to Hsinchu for filming.

According to reports, after the shoot, Michelle’s family prepared a feast for him and the guests.

In addition, Hu Gua has also been spotted showing support for Michelle at baseball games.

The rumoured relationship understandably raised eyebrows, not only because of the large age gap between the pair.

Michelle is also younger than Hu Ge’s kids, actress Karen Hu, also known as Xiao Zhen, 38, and actor Shawn Hu, 28.

Michelle is one of Hu Ge’s three mentees on Variety Get Together

Hu Gua is said to be furious at the rumours and has urged the public to stop fanning the flames.

“Michelle, Ava Wu, and Lan Lan [who all appear on Variety Get Together] are my mentees. Why doesn’t anyone say that I favour Ava and Lan Lan? Which one of you media saw Rou An being angry? Did you install surveillance cameras in my house?” he asked angrily.

He added that since the start of the baseball season, he has gone to the Rakuten Monkeys’ stadium in Taoyuan with Rou An, his producer, and son three times. The tickets were given to him by Lan Lan, who is also a cheerleader.

As for the rumours of him helping Michelle with her move, he clarified that he only found out about the move yesterday (Sep 27) from the news.

He said that Rou An’s assistant just happened to drive there and was not helping with the move: “Even if I were helping her move, I wouldn’t ask my assistant to go. Stop embellishing the truth.”

While Michelle’s manager declined to respond to the rumours, she said that Michelle’s father is very friendly and has previously invited her squad mates to dinner.
