Gen Z Staffers At Malaysian Hotpot Restaurant Fail To Recognise Louis Koo
We don’t know about you, but should Hong Kong actor Louis Koo walk by, he would at least garner a second look from us.
However, that didn’t seem to be the case for a couple of Gen Z employees of a hotpot restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, who apparently didn’t recognise the 52-year-old star.
The owner of the hotpot restaurant posted on Xiao Hong Shu that she was highlighted by her young staffers that they had a table that spent about RM$2,000 (S$579) the night before.
It was only upon checking the CCTV footage from the night before, did she realise who last night’s high roller was.
Louis was also joined by fellow Hong Kong actors Raymond Wong, Chrissie Chau and Cheung Siu Fai, all of whom were in KL for work.
“Isn’t this Louis Koo? Why do kids not recognise him? Is there a generational gap between us,” wrote the restaurant owner in the caption to accompany to her screenshot.
Netizens seemed to be tickled by the post and commented that today’s youths “only pursue K-pop stars and Internet celebrities,” while others also took note that the table next to Louis “didn’t pay attention” to who was there too.
Louis Koo is currently in Malaysia to film his upcoming movie, Behind The Shadows. He has said he loves visiting KL for the delicious food and comfortable weather.
Louis has even gone on to praise the country’s famous traffic jams.
“Each time I am in the car, I can take the opportunity to sleep. Even after taking three naps, I wouldn’t have reached the destination,” he laughed.
