Malaysian singer Shila Amzah says family home has been vacated, urges netizens to ignore brother

Malaysian singer Shila Amzah’s bungalow in Hulu Langat, Selangor has been vacated by her family members who were residing there previously.

The news was shared by Shila in an Instagram live stream last Saturday (Nov 4), during which she also expressed relief now that the family drama has come to an end.

“There’s no need to ask me about (family matters). Only those who have gone through it will know. I consider (this conflict) to be done.

“Even blood relatives don’t see us the same sometimes. This is our fate and we have to learn to accept it,” the 33-year-old said.

In her live stream, Shila also urged netizens to stop paying attention to her younger brother Amir Syafiq, who had been criticising her for selling the home – registered under her name – without consulting the family beforehand.

According to the Patah Seribu hitmaker, Syafiq, 30, was a person who would never admit his mistakes and will keep complaining the more people give him attention.

“Stop giving him attention. If he wants to complain, let him! The more you indulge in him, the more spoiled he’ll become. Let him earn money on his own,” she added.

The conflict surrounding Shila’s family home first came to light in October after her younger sister Syada, 25, said on Instagram that an individual turned up to view the bungalow despite them not putting up any notices to sell the property.

In a TikTok live stream on Oct 11, Shila admitted that she had put the house for sale without informing her siblings but denied chasing them out.

She said then that the distressing memories associated with the home following her parents Datuk ND Lala and Fauziah Sarman’s divorce prompted her to sell the property.

Syafiq later accused the singer of being pretentious, claiming that Shila had the choice to transfer the property to their mum but didn’t do so as she wanted the money all for herself.

However, Shila warned him to stop using her name for clout and creating fake stories as she had already spoke to their mother, who reportedly accepted her decision to sell the home.
