Body of missing autistic boy sent to UMMC for post-mortem, says PJ OCPD
PETALING JAYA: The body of autistic boy Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin was transported by the police forensic team from the location where he was discovered at about 11.50pm on Wednesday (Dec 6).
The body was discovered at a river some 200m from his home at about 10pm.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the body was sent to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for post-mortem.
“The body was found by a search team who was checking near Block R of Idaman Apartment.
“The body was found in the river,” he told reporters at the scene late Wednesday night.
He said a team comprising police, Fire and Rescue Department and the Civil Defence Department had conducted search and rescue in the area despite the rain following a police report lodged on the missing boy on Tuesday (Dec 5).

“On Wednesday, SAR was resumed from 11am till 4pm.
“At night, we mobilised search teams consisting of 40 police personnel and 60 residents.
“One of the teams found the victim’s body,” he said.
ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said police will investigate the location where the body was discovered.
“We will also call up witnesses to assist with the investigation.

“We are classifying the case under sudden death so far pending the post-mortem report but we will investigate further,” he added.
It was reported that the victim was last seen at Idaman Apartment at Damansara Damai on Tuesday.
ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin had said police received a report about the missing boy at around 6.36pm on Tuesday.
“The boy was last seen near Block R of the apartment complex along PJU 10/1, Damansara Damai at around 12pm on Tuesday.
“The boy was wearing a white collar T-shirt with the SK Damansara Damai 2 emblem on it and a black track suit and black shoes,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
