Since her sudden death on Dec 11, there’s been speculation on what will happen to late Hong Kong actress Kathy Chow’s fortune and her three beloved pooches.

The star, who lived with her furkids, was found unconscious in her Beijing home by her assistant. She died after the “unsuccessful treatment” of her illness at the age of 57.

As Kathy, who is the second in a family of four kids, is single, her mum will reportedly inherit her estate.

Kathy’s dad passed away in 2017.

Kathy’s Beijing mansion is reportedly worth 100 million yuan (S$18.6mil)

While Kathy’s net worth is not known, the actress, who has been based in Beijing for 20 years, has properties in both the Chinese capital and Hong Kong.

Her lavish Beijing mansion is situated in the upmarket Shunyi District and reportedly worth over 100mil yuan (S$18.6mil).

Decorated in a classical European style, the house is elegant and grand, and has a sprawling garden.

The spacious living room can accommodate three large sofas and she also has a 200 sq ft room, complete with a double bed, that’s just for her pooches.

Despite her riches, Kathy is pretty frugal and had reportedly been driving the same Mercedes-Benz for 17 years.

Could this be her furkids’ bedroom?

Kathy made her showbiz debut in 1985 and is best known for playing Zhou Zhiruo in the 1994 Taiwanese adaptation of The Heavenly Sword And Dragon Sabre.

Her latest role was in 2022 movie Army Soul Of The Han Dynasty. Her espionage drama 特别输 Te Bie Shu Song, loosely translated as Special Delivery, which she shot in 2013, has yet to be aired.

According to reports, the copyrights for the Chinese series, which also stars Hong Kong star Bowie Lam and Kathy’s once-rumoured beau, Chinese actor Chen Long, was said to be put online for auction two years ago as the production company was unable pay its debts.
