Chinese Host Chen Luyu, 53, Said To Be Dating Opera Singer Ayunga, Who Is 19 Years Her Junior

Speculation is rife again that Chen Luyu, 53, one of China’s most popular TV hosts, is dating Chinese theatre actor and singer Ayunga, 34, after she was spotted several times in the vicinity of his home.

Dating rumours between the two began as early as 2018.

Netizens noticed that the pair wearing identical clothes and jewellery, and even had matching mobile phone cases.

But Luyu refuted the rumours in 2019, saying they were merely colleagues from the same agency.

Looks like netizens are back with more evidence of a romance between the pair.

Earlier this week, a Chinese paparazzo, who goes by the Weibo handle “Ah Fei, the boy who chases melons” revealed that on Nov 22, Luyu was spotted buying groceries and returning to the development where Ayunga lives.

She was photographed leaving the development again on On Dec 11 to run errands.

The next day, Ayunga was seen driving home alone after dinner with a friend. Soon after, Luyu arrived in another car and entered the same section of the development, sparking speculation that they are living together.

In fact, the paparazzo is convinced that they have been doing so for years as they have been seen returning home one after the other on several occasions since 2018.

Other evidence that they are a couple include Ayuga driving Luyu’s Mercedes-Benz S400 and the pair using the same parking space.

The paparazzo also shared a video from 2019 showing Ayuga heading to Luyu’s house after dropping a friend off at a hotel.

After the revelation, their relationship became a trending topic on Weibo.

Besides their 19-year age gap, many netizens were surprised by the unlikely couple’s relationship.

Some also came forward with insider information that the couple have indeed been dating for several years, but Luyu doesn’t want to go public.

Luyu, who is best known for her talk show A Date With Luyu, has been twice married.

She tied the knot with her first husband, an American, when she was studying in the US in 1995. They returned to Hong Kong the following year and she joined Phoenix Television.

As her career took off, her marriage ran aground and the couple divorced in 1999.

In 2002, married her first boyfriend Zhu Lei in Hong Kong, but in 2013, it was reported that their marriage was on the rocks.

Ayunga, who was born in Inner Mongolia, joined the Beijing Opera as a theatre actor after graduating from the prestigious Beijing Dance Academy.

He found fame after winning reality show Mr Super in 2014 and has since performed in many musicals.
