Female Fan Rushes Onto Stage To Hug Wang Leehom From Behind In The Middle Of Performance

The 47-year-old singer was nice enough to smile and wave her away, he was actually rattled by the incident.

Mandopop singer Wang Leehom is now enjoying a career renaissance after a really tough two years.

The 47-year-old was last seen headlining a music festival in Linyi, China last Friday (Apr 5).

As he was delivering an encore performance of his hit song ‘Descendants of Dragon’, an overzealous female fan managed to evade security and rushed up on stage to hug Leehom from the back.

In a video posted to Weibo, Leehom still managed a smile, even politely waving her away as staffers quickly pulled her off stage.

We know Lee Hom has been MIA for a while but was this truly necessary?

Though we didn’t detect Lee Hom looking too displeased, his manager Yang Wenjie revealed that the singer was actually rattled by the fan’s reckless behaviour.

“Although he is safe this time, the company still takes the safety of every performance seriously,” said Wenjie.

“We hope every fan who loves music can cooperate to create a safe and harmonious environment,” he added.

Many netizens felt such an incident only happened because Leehom’s security was negligent.

“His management should look into firing the security,” wrote a netizen.

There were also those gushed about Leehom’s gracious behaviour.

“I’ll do it next time!” commented a netizen.

Please, don’t.

We wonder how lax security was at the concert.
Leehom was gracious enough to still serenely smile at her.
