BANGKOK: Fans of Thailand’s very own K-pop princess Lalisa “Lisa” Manoban can now expect more international billboard hits from her, as she has just signed up with US record label RCA Records, it was reported by The Nation Thailand this week.

“LLOUD is excited to share that Lisa is joining the RCA family. Please visit LaLisaOfficial.com to be the first to hear about what we have been working on,” declared the superstar’s management company.

RCA Records, owned by Sony Music Entertainment, is one of Sony Music’s four flagship labels and has released albums in all genres of music ranging from pop, classical, rock and hip-hop to afrobeat, electronic, R&B, blues, jazz and country.

This label, founded in 1900, has released records by practically everybody ranging from Elvis Presley to Miley Cyrus and rapper Doja Cat.

The announcement of the partnership didn’t come with any info about when new music might be released, but one key detail of the deal was revealed: Lisa will retain full ownership over all of her recordings.

“I’m super excited to be joining the RCA family and I am confident they are the best team to create a bigger movement in my solo career,” Lisa said in a statement. “Looking forward to showing the world everything we have been preparing.”

For the record, Lisa released her solo debut, Lalisa, in 2021 through Blackpink’s longtime label/agency YG Entertainment, as well as Interscope Records.

Lisa’s RCA deal comes several months after all four members of Blackpink decided to take the reins of their own solo careers by declining to renew their individual contracts with YG Entertainment but they will stay with the agency for all group activities.

Along with new music materials, Lisa is set to make her acting debut after scoring a role in Season Three of top tv series The White Lotus.

No details about Lisa’s character were revealed, but she’ll be appearing alongside a stacked ensemble cast that includes Walton Goggins, Parker Posey, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Christian Friedel, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Natasha Rothwell. Production on Season Three began in Thailand in February, and the show is expected to return in 2025.
