James Van Der Beek Cast as Noah Beck’s Father In ‘QB Bad Boy & Me’ Movie Adaptation

James Van Der Beek and Noah Beck are playing father and son in an upcoming new movie!

The 47-year-old Dawson’s Creek star has been cast as the 23-year-old TikTok star’s dad in the movie adaptation of Tay Marley‘s Wattpad novel “The QB Bad Boy & Me,” Deadline reports.

Now titled Sidelined: The QB Bad Boy & Me, the movie centers on “Dallas Bryan, a high school cheerleader impassioned by the art of dance who hopes to use it as a means of escaping her sleepy small town. Bryan has her sights on a coveted dance scholarship at CalArts, and nothing—or no one—is going to stand in her way. That is… until the star high school quarterback, Drayton Lahey (Beck), crashes into her life.”

James will play Leroy Lahey, “the tough but well-meaning father to Drayton. Leroy sets high expectations for his son both on and off the football field, pushing him to strive for excellence while struggling to express his own grief and vulnerability.”

Filming on the movie is currently underway and it is set to premiere on Tubi later this year.

Also new to the cast include Deborah CoxJake FoySiena Agudong and Drew Ray Tanner.
