aespa’s Karina Trolls Fans With Her Latest Song Cover
aespa member Karina has once again shown why her reputation as a “Hot Loser” among fans continues to grow.
Karina was the latest guest on the popular YouTube show LeeMujin Service, hosted by singer Lee Mujin. The show’s format involves the guests singing multiple songs live, both originals and covers and talking about the song choice, among other things, between performances.
While LeeMujin Service has become a fan-favorite platform for K-Pop artists to showcase their vocal prowess, Karina took the opportunity to troll her fans with the most unexpected song cover choice. She presented a rendition of a meme song called “Do You Know?” which got popularized by her and Winter after they did two funny TikTok challenges on it.
Karina’s cover was an elevated version of the original, complete with mellifluous piano and harmonies. The seriousness of the rendition boosted the hilarity of the nonsensical lyrics, so much so that both Karina and Lee Mujin were visibly struggling to hold in their chuckles.
The clip went viral on online communities, leaving netizens in splits.
- “Karina is really a pretty comedian.”
- “This is that song she did with Winter, right? This is f*king hilarious. Why is she singing it so well, though? LOL.”
- “What’s with the harmonization? LMAO.”
- “Wh—What is this…?”
- “Crazy. This is f*cking funny.”
- “This is so Karina-like.”
- “She sang it so well, I’m even more annoyed. LOL.”
- “LOL. I know this song because of Karina and Winter’s Shorts. She covered this?!”
- “Lee Mujin is so annoying, LOL.”
