I was told to alter police statement, says wife of celeb in drug case
PETALING JAYA: The wife of a celebrity has claimed that a policeman made her alter the statement she gave regarding her husband’s arrest for suspected marijuana possession, reported Sinar Harian.
In an Instagram live broadcast on Thursday (Dec 19), she said she was making this disclosure because she believed there had been a breach of ethics in the investigation.

“After my husband was arrested, my son and I were called to give statements (as evidence) regarding the discovery of ‘illegal goods’.
“I told them everything, the truth about what happened.
“But what surprised me was the next day, I was called back and asked to change the statement.
“A policeman told me to change it because my report was ‘too simple’.
“I followed along as I thought it was for the good of my husband.
“But thinking back, from (a legal standpoint), this should not have happened,” she said, adding that she would not disclose the identity of the policeman concerned.
It was reported that police confirmed arresting a celebrity on suspicion of possessing marijuana at his home in Cyberjaya on Saturday (Dec 14).
