“Lovely Runner” Couple Byeon Woo Seok And Kim Hye Yoon To Officially Reunite Soon

It’s been a while!

In the second quarter of 2024, the TVING rom-com Lovely Runner emerged into the K-Drama scene, quite burdened with the weight of pre-release controversies but defeated all odds to become one of the top shows of the year. The lead couple, portrayed by Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, were one of the major reasons behind the drama’s success. And now, a year later, the duo is set to reunite again!

According to reports, on April 10, KST, the organizing committee of the Asia Star Entertainer Awards (ASEA hereon) announced that Byeon Woo Seok will participate in this year’s award ceremony, which is planned to take place on May 28 and 29 at the K Arena Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan.

On May 28, the first day of the ceremony, The Boyz‘s Juyeon and IVE‘s Rei will take on the responsibility of MC-ing. Actor Jang Geun Suk will be presenting the Daesang (Grand Prize) on this day. On May 29, the second day, Kim Hye Yoon will host the event with MONSTA X‘s Hyungwon and The Boyz’s Younghoon. 

On the second day, Byeon and Kim are expected to reunite on stage as Byeon is scheduled to appear as a presenter of the Grand Prize on May 29.

It was reported that on April 8, the Lovely Runner team held a first anniversary celebration which was attended by both the lead actors, along with director Yoon Jong Ho. But for fans, ASEA will mark the first time they get to see the couple together since Asia Artist Awards  2024, where Byeon took home six awards and Kim, four, for Lovely Runner.
