All The Accusations Made About Former CEO Exposed During Press Conference By MADEIN Gaeun’s Mother

Gaeun, a former member of the group MADEIN, allegedly faced serious mistreatment and abuse from the company’s CEO. It was previously already reported that Gaeun experienced inappropriate physical contact from the CEO.

In a press conference on April 29, 2025, Gaeun’s mother stepped up and exposed all of the CEO’s misdeeds. She named a few key incidents to the matter.

1. Sowing discord

The CEO would call in members one by one under the pretense of counseling and stir up discord among them, creating an environment where the members ended up monitoring each other.

2. Surveillance

Under the CEO’s surveillance at the dorm, members were not allowed to contact friends or acquaintances. In one instance, when a one member contacted a dance teacher, the CEO came to the dorm and conducted a full phone inspection that lasted all day.

3. Sexual assault and harrassment

What started as light physical contact escalated after Gaeun graduated from high school. After telling the CEO to stop, Gaeun faced continued workplace disadvantages and unfair treatment.

4. Gaeun’s actions

Gaeun tried her best to stop him and to figure out a way that she could continue her activities. She tried to settle the situation by getting a written pledge from the CEO, and demanded that the CEO step down from frontline operations. However, the CEO still interfered with every single schedule and would allegedly whistle and act as if nothing happened whenever he was ignored.

5. Coercion

A recorded conversation was broadcast without Gaeun’s consent. She was unaware that the recording even existed. This happened after she blew the whistle on him. Her father contacted the CEO, and while trying to coordinate matters, the CEO demanded that she “like” the company’s official statement on social media. Later, the CEO went further and demanded that she personally post the company’s statement on her account. When she refused,  the CEO’s attitude drastically changed.

6. Settlement payment

Gaeun requested at least a settlement payment. The CEO refused, claiming that doing so would be an admission of guilt.

7. Forced withdrawal

News of her withdrawal took Gaeun by surprise. She found out about their forced withdrawal through news articles. However, the company claimed that the exclusive contract was still in effect.
