Fans Of Every Group Under A Popular Company Unite To Call Out Years Of Mistreatment
Fans are attempting to spread awareness.
While fans protesting for better treatment of their idols is not a new phenomenon, usually it does not go beyond the fans of the group joining in. On rarer and more serious occasions, non-fans will sometimes lend their voices to a cause.

Recently, the fandoms of groups under the same agency have come together to protest the mistreatment that the idols have faced.
Fans of FANTASY BOYS have shared their concern for the group after members allegedly shared a signal for help, amid the alleged mistreatment they have faced.

Along with these complaints, fans have included hashtags for the other idol groups under PocketDol — BAE173 and CLASS:y.

According to fans, BAE173 have been mistreated since their debut, which has included not being properly promoted. Their most recent comeback, “Fifty Fifty” took place more than a year ago, as fans have waited for more releases.
Instead, fans claim that the company has preferred to send the group on survival shows, where more mistreatment is alleged to have taken place.

The company has also been involved with legal issues surrounding the members. First, former member Dohyon (now known as toni rei) filed an injunction to have his contract suspended due to differing views on how they fulfilled his contract.
The idol was reportedly not credited for work he had done on songs, and the company did not provide proper payment data. His contract was ended, allowing him to leave the company and the group.
More recently, member J-MIN‘s activities with the survival show group Close Your Eyes led to the idol going on a hiatus from BAE173 as PocketDol debated the terms over the contract signed when he joined the show.
Fans also have shared that the company does not take steps to protect the members, seemingly sending them places without any security or staff at times.
CLASS:y is the company’s only girl group, and was formed through the survival show My Teenage Girl.
Like BAE173, the group went an extended time without a proper comeback — 751 days(October 26, 2022 to November 15, 2024). Once they did return, it took over 40 days for their album to actually ship, and fans were less than impressed with the quality once it did.
The group have also seemingly faced gender-based discrimination, and are the only group of the three to not have an official lightstick, despite debuting before FANTASY BOYS.
CLASS:y also do not have content posted as frequently as the other groups, with their last subtitled video being from over six months ago. The group also seemed to have the promotions for the last album cut short, despited the extended hiatus.
Rather than blame the other groups, all three have come together to use hashtags to spread awareness of PocketDol’s alleged wrongdoing.
