2nd Gen Idol-Turned-Actress Gets Flamed For Her Supposed Political Endorsement
The timing and the content both seem to be hinting at the same thing.

A second-generation girl group member and actress has become the center of political controversy with her latest Instagram posts.
The star in question is none other than Ahn Sohee, a former member of the major 2nd-generation girl group, Wonder Girls.

On June 2, KST, Sohee made a series of posts on her Instagram stories, seemingly hinting at who she voted for in the current Presidential election.
The first story showed the polling station where she went to cast her vote.

The following story, however, featured her next to red rose bushes. The idol-actress was pointing at the roses, with the caption, “So hehe.” She also added a red rose and a red heart emoji in the end.

Since both the color red and the rose symbol are associated with the ruling party, netizens are convinced that Sohee’s intention behind the stories was to endorse the party and their presidential candidate. Consequently, she faced quite fiery criticism from netizens.
As the backlash grew, the idol-actress posted another story, apparently to counter the previous picture. This new story was completely blue in color, featuring a clear blue sky and the sea.

Since the opposition party’s official color is blue, it is clear that the photo was Sohee’s attempt at nullifying the after-effects of her previous stories.
Netizens’ reaction seems to be majorly positive toward her after she posted the blue picture.

- “Protect Sohee.”
- “Seriously, stop the insane, baseless hate already. Go live your life.”
- “Ugh, let’s not get too caught up in politics.”
- “Lol, she must’ve felt really wronged.”
- “💙💙.”
