“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Actress Injured In Car Accident On The Way To Filming

She is in recovery.

On June 4, 2025, it was reported that actress Joo Hyun Young was involved in a traffic accident while heading to a drama filming site.

According to industry sources, the accident occurred on a highway as she was traveling to Hadong-gun in South Gyeongsang Province, where the filming was scheduled to take place. Joo was in a vehicle driven by her manager at the time of the incident. She sustained injuries in the accident and subsequently received medical treatment at a hospital. Fortunately, her injuries were reported to be minor.

Her agency, AIMC, confirmed the news to SBS Entertainment News.

“A minor accident occurred while she was en route to filming. We decided it was best for her to rest and receive treatment, so we are currently adjusting her schedule to allow her a few days for recovery.”

In the meantime, Joo Hyun Young’s radio program, 12 O’Clock with Joo Hyun Young on SBS PowerFM, will be hosted by special DJs until she returns.

Joo is currently filming for the upcoming drama Kind Woman Boo Semi, slated for release in the second half of this year, where she plays the role of Baek Hye Ji. She previously starred in Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
