Selangor Allows Hiking Activities With A Group Of Maximum 3 People

During the Recover Movement Control Order (RMCO), the Selangor government gradually loosen restrictions to allow state people to conduct more recreational activities, including hiking. The climbing group should not exceed 3 people, and each person must maintain a social distance.

According to Sinchew, Selangor Minister Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari issued a statement today stating that as for the morning market, the open-air market, and the night market and bazaar, they will resume business in stages from June 15 following National Security Council.

According to Selangor Journal,

“The SOP set by the NSC will be used as the reference for the implementation and enforcement purposes. However, the SOPs will be coordinated and customized by the respective local authorities (PBT) in accordance with appropriate and strategic standards based on the conditions of their respective areas,” he added.

“The state administration also decided to allow the reopening of music and art class in Selangor. The state government also allows hiking activities but is limited to a group of not more than three hikers who have to comply with the social distancing measures,” he said in a statement today.

He also reminded the public about the importance of scanning the SELangkah (Langkah Masuk Dengan Selamat) QR code before entering premises in the state, and to wear masks and wash their hands frequently before going out.

If anyone violates the SOP, the state government will not hesitate to take action.
