Sunny Hostin Reveals Whoopi Goldberg’s Reaction to Her Fart Comments & Responds to Complaints from Meghan McCain

Sunny Hostin is addressing some controversial comments she made about her co-hosts on The View during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live.

If you missed it, the 54-year-old star accused Whoopi Goldberg of farting the most out of the group.

She also weighed in on Meghan McCain‘s comments about The View in a recently published essay, which slammed the show and made some big accusations.

During an appearance on Radio Andy, she revealed how her current co-host felt about the fart comments, and Andy Cohen spilled some tea about Meghan.

During her second interview with Andy, Sunny admitted that Whoopi “didn’t like” the fart comments, especially because the claim apparently isn’t true.

Sunny passed the blame to Sara Haines, but it doesn’t sound like she’s gassy either. She just drinks too much water, and her cups make a fart sound on the table when they get moved.

“So Whoopi, in an effort to kind of cover that up, was like, ‘Sorry y’all. That was me,’ and I just took her at her word,” Sunny explained. “I didn’t know it was Sara with all the waters. She should only have one cup of water anyway. We all have one cup, and Sara has three. It just turned into this big thing and so Whoopi said, ‘Why did you tell everybody I fart all the time?’ and I was like, ‘Because you joke about farting all the time.’”

She continued, saying, “I’m across from the table. I can’t smell it. I don’t know … whoever, you know, smelt it dealt it, so I just had no idea.”

That doesn’t mean there’s any bad blood. Sunny added that she and Whoopi are “very close” and remain that way.

In regards to Meghan, she said that she was surprised her former co-host didn’t reach out to her directly with complaints after the interview. Instead, she texted Andy. He said that she was “unhappy.”

“She never reached out to me. I just assumed she would just text me, but she has not,” Sunny said, adding that she didn’t say “anything negative.”

What was Andy‘s response to Meghan? “It is what it is.”
