Popular Thai actor Nonkul, 27, revealed in an interview last week that he is dating his 43-year-old The Next Stop is Happiness co-star Aff Taksaorn .

Yes, there’s a 16 year age difference between the two stars.

The Bad Genius actor shared that both him and Aff previously only wanted to have a “sibling-like” relationship but “gradually fell in love”.

“I was sick during filming, and she sent me things and even came to visit which moved me very much,” said Nonkul.

Aff was previously married to tycoon Songkran Taechanarong with whom she shares a daughter. The pair divorced after Songkran had an affair.

When pressed on what he thinks about their 16-year age gap, Nonkul said, “There is nothing terrible about an older woman and younger man being in love. It’s the case regardless of age and gender too. If we understand each other, I think it is acceptable.”

However, Nonkul emphasised that they have not used the term “boyfriend and girlfriend” yet as they both attach great importance to that relationship status.

Rumours of the two being a couple have been rife since they worked together on The Next Stop is Happiness. Sharp-eyed fans have noticed the two frequently interacting on Instagram, with the latest Nonkul’s birthday message to Aff on her 43rd birthday.

According to an Instagram picture Aff posted on Saturday (Nov 12), it seems their friends have long known about the relationship.
