Daughter-In-Law Of Late Casino King Called Out For Using Phone During EMBA Course
All students know how common it is to use your phone when the teacher is in the middle of class.
But somehow that behaviour is unacceptable when you’re the daughter-in-law of late Casino King Stanley Ho.
Last year, 35-year-old Chinese supermodel, Ming Xi, who is the wife of Mario Ho, 29, reportedly enrolled in an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) course under Peking University and The University of Hong Kong.
Recently, a netizen took to social media to share pics of Ming Xi, who is a mum-of-two, at school.
According to the netizen, Ming Xi is doing a two-year part-time Masters degree course, which costs 880K yuan (S$164K).
Netizens, however, think Ming Xi was simply there for show.
The netizen said Meng Xi was attending a Organization Management and Strategy lecture. On her table was a coffee mug, a cup of tea, a Thermos flask and a packet drink.
She was dressed down and didn’t have any make-up on.
What irked netizens was how she was on her phone and didn’t appear to be paying any attention to the lecturer.
“She is using money to increase her own value. It doesn’t look good in the business sector if she’s just a supermodel. But she does not look like she’s taking it seriously,” one criticised.
Or maybe she’s just trying to match up to her high-achieving husband?
Mario, a known math genius, won Hong Kong’s national maths championship title twice and is an alumnus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he finished a four-year course in just three years.
