Koreans Baffled By International Fans’ Treatment Of HyunA

K-Pop’s very own icon, HyunA, has currently hit some major roadblocks in her career after she publicly announced her relationship with Yong Junhyung, a former idol who is tied to the infamous Burning Sun Scandal.

HyunA’s relationship with Yong, who had admitted to watching some of the spread videos of women getting violated despite not filming any himself, has not sat well with her fanbase. After the pair announced their upcoming marriage, the backlash has only gotten louder.

One of the damning consequences of this was the cancellation of her North America Concert Tour. HyunA was scheduled to perform at multiple venues across the US and Canada in August, mostly owing to low ticket sales. It is majorly accepted that this was caused due to HyunA’s association with Yong.

The tour cancellation has taken many domestic fans aback, who didn’t expect international audiences to turn their backs on HyunA, as many consider the “I-Fans” to be more forgiving than Korean fans.
