Li Landi Addresses Comments That She Looks Fat in Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty

Li Landi is like us when we’re trying to diet: You eat all green, but what do you know? You just don’t lose the weight. The actress recently addressed comments about her seemingly “rounder” look in the ongoing series Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty 梦回 where she plays a 21st-century girl who finds herself transported back to the Qing dynasty.

A behind-the-scenes clip of actor Xin Yunlai having a hard time carrying the actress and resorting to the help of two crew members and a ladder just to carry her has been making the rounds online. Ooof.
During a livestream, Li Landi admits that she did look a lot rounder then compared to how she looks now and explained that because they were filming at such a large scale, her days and nights felt like a blur. This of course took a toll on her body as she began to experience hormonal imbalance. She adds that most importantly, she actually stuck to eating steamed veggies throughout filming to the point that she felt like she must have already turned green.
However, no matter how much she tried, SHE JUST WOULDN’T LOSE WEIGHT. But when filming finally came to an end and she tried the same diet again with some added workout, she lost weight. Li Landi cheekily whined about her frustrations as she wondered why she could not lose weight when she needed to the most.
It seems the talk about her weight has brought on some amusement at least. Li Landi came across a Weibo post about it that cued classical pianist Yundi Li (李云迪) instead of Li Landi (李兰迪) since there is only a one character difference in their names. She jokingly said to leave Yundi Li alone and direct the comments at her. It looks like she’s made a new friend as well as both have started following each other on Weibo.
