Jacquelin Ch’ng’s Parents Witnessed Her Wedding Through FaceTime
On March 15th, TVB actress Jacquelin Ch’ng (莊思敏) and her boyfriend of one year, Brian Yang (楊秉逸), have officially tied the knot with the company of close family and friends in Hong Kong. Brian is from Taiwan, and owns a boba shop business.
The low-profile marriage ceremony was held in Jacquelin’s home in Hong Kong. Unable to fly to Hong Kong at this current time, their parents witnessed the wedding through FaceTime. Jacquelin changed into three different wedding outfits, throughout the day, one exposing her midriff.
It was a very comfortable and casual wedding ceremony. After the couple exchanged vows, they had to be reminded by their friends to exchange rings. Jacquelin’s younger sister, Lisa Ch’ng (莊思明), caught her bridal bouquet. Lisa’s boyfriend, TVB actor Mat Yeung (楊明), was also in attendance.
“Both families couldn’t come, so we FaceTimed then when it was time to sign papers,” shared Jacquelin through a phone interview with the media. “My mom would be trying to say something but none of us could hear her, so the scene was quite hectic and funny. Many friends came together. It was very relaxing. It felt more like a party than an actual wedding.”
As for her thoughts about being a wife, she said, “I still feel the same as of now. I will continue to work hard. My husband will be flying back to Taiwan soon, and then he has to go through two weeks of self-quarantine. I am thankful that he were able to do this.”
