Andy Hui’s Comeback Performance Airs on ViuTV’s “Chill Club”

After 14 months away from the public eye, singer Andy Hui (許志安) made his comeback in the 34th episode of ViuTV’s music program Chill Club, which aired today, June 21. The episode, which also featured singers Gin Lee (李幸倪), AGA, and the boy band MIRROR, was aired in celebration of PolyGram’s 50th anniversary. Andy performed his singles “One Step, One Life” <一步一生> and “Half a Day’s Rest” <半天假>, with AGA and Gin. Both singles were released while Andy was an artiste under PolyGram’s subsidiary Go East Entertainment.

While Andy addressed his hiatus in a length interview with reporters after the episode recording, Andy did not say much during the Chill Club episode, except wishing PolyGram a happy 50th anniversary.

Chill Club MC Bondy Chiu (趙學而) praised Andy for his steadiness and confidence during the performance. Many viewers believed that Andy was most likely expressing his feelings through the lyrics of his songs.

14 months ago, Andy was caught in a huge cheating scandal with TVB actress Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎). Both artistes virtually left the entertainment industry to reflect. At a recording of Carol Cheng’s (鄭裕玲) talk show Do Did Eat <Do姐有問題> a few days ago, Andy’s wife Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) shared her thoughts about Andy’s comeback, and expressed her support for her husband.
