Kiki Sheung Praises Kenneth Ma for Qualities that Would Make Him a Good Husband

After taking a hiatus for six years, Kiki Sheung (商天娥) makes a comeback in Plan B <寶寶大過天> as a grandmother to Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and Eliza Sam’s (岑麗香) growing family. Kiki shared that she still has the acting bug and is confident in her acting skills. Working well with Kenneth a number of times in the past, Kiki revealed the actor is the reason why she agreed to filming the TVB.

“I have known him for many years, and he always takes the initiative to talk to me. I teased him that I always see him in dramas, and asked if he is saving up money to get married. He said that he wanted to buy a house for his mother,” Kiki said in a radio interview.

As Kenneth is known for his good personality, Kiki also agreed and gave the actor many compliments. Although Kiki is known for her blunt personality and looks “very intimidating,” Kenneth always takes the initiative to start conversations with her. “This shows that he knows how to read people, and therefore I think he has his own ideas and plans. He will make a great husband–Roxanne Tang (湯洛雯) is very lucky.”

Aware that many viewers have been comparing Plan B to the series’ processor, Who Wants a Baby <BB來了>, Kiki shares her thoughts about the differences between the two dramas. “I watched Who Wants a BabyPeople said that Plan B is the second installment, and that’s why I was very interested in the drama. It’s normal to compare so there would be discussions. I don’t mind it. I think everyone has their own opinions. Some people really like Ali Lee (李佳芯) and I like her too. I also think Eliza is beautiful at all angles.”

Missed Age to Become a Mother

Kiki also shared details about her 11-year marriage with her husband Patrick Lee. When asked if it’s true that Patrick had a crush on Kiki for 10 years, Kiki replied, “You would have to ask him. We are already mature adults, why ask so much? I want him as he is right now. When I first went on a date with him, he asked, ‘I don’t have a lot of money, do you care?’ I told him it was fine. I don’t like people with a lot of money, and it’s okay to just have enough money.”

The actress confessed that she had always wanted two daughters, but this unfortunately did not happen. As she was already a 48-year-old bride, it was past her prime to conceive. Kiki had considered adoption, but she was worried about children being rebellious and having other issues. In the end, the couple gave up on the idea, and is content with a life with just the two of them.
