For all the plant moms and dads out there, these garden themed cafes are some of the best places to romance each other while surrounded by gorgeous flora and fauna. Isn’t there something very special about being able appreciate each other while appreciating the beauty of nature? From hanging plants that happily float over you to gorgeous floral walls, these garden themed cafes are ideal for picture perfect dates.

While KL has more and more garden themed cafes that open for you to visit, our personal favourite is Listette’s Cafe and Bakery located in Bangsar. Everyone knows that the go-to place for a romantic meal has been a fine dining restaurant since pretty much the beginning of time. But today’s generation is all about breaking the norms and shattering the cliches, so of course we want to up our romance game too! It’s time to switch from perfect table manners under restaurant lighting to relaxing on soft grass under the golden sun.

So to enjoy some cute couple time outdoors, you and your partner can organise an intimate and refreshing picnic at one of your favourite parks. Kuala Lumpur has many parks around the city areas that are ideal for laying out a blanket and enjoying some yummy snacks out of a basket. Desa Park City, for instance, is a popular picnic location that is well-maintained, comfortable and pet friendly. You’re sure to have a happy picnic experience here, and maybe this time your furry friend can join the date too!

There’s something special about art that is used to revitalise an otherwise ordinary street or lane. This sprinkle of specialness can be seen at Kwai Chai Hong, a creatively restored lane with historic architecture nestled nearby Jalan Petaling. The hidden lane was restored due to the works of Project Kwai Chai Hong, which helped showcase beautiful murals depicting the daily activities of early Chinese settlers who lived in the area in the 1960’s. Now, you can also see varying art installations set up during different festivals and celebrations.

Kwai Chai Hong gives couples the opportunity to walk down memory lane together while experiencing the modern technology incorporated into its history. This is because visitors have the opportunity to scan QR codes on the walls to obtain an in-depth and immersive experience of history and art. Kwai Chai Hong is a scintillating location that allows you to reminisce over the years past while capturing new moments with your partner for the years to come.
