Yang Mi Yearns for Love Every Day

Since her divorce in 2018, Yang Mi (楊冪) has been focusing on work and spends her free time visiting her daughter in Hong Kong. Aside from attracting attention on her projects, her love life is also often discussed. Last year, Yang Mi was said to have broken up with actor Wei Daxun (魏大勋). While the 35-year-old gave no responses to these rumors, she did candidly share in her recent magazine interview that she looks forward to a new relationship.

Yang Mi said, “I look forward to love, every day in fact. But I don’t really put much effort into it, so I don’t know if it’s even worth looking forward to. I always feel like if you make it too deliberate and fail to let it flow naturally, then the love may change its flavor.”

When asked about her thoughts on portraying the devoted Haishi in Novoland: Pearl Eclipse <斛珠夫人>, Yang Mi expressed, “It was a role I really wanted to try playing, because there is no character like her who could love someone in such a heartbreaking manner. She is interesting yet challenging, because I was able to learn and experience how to actively pursue someone. I am a very passive person when it comes to love, so it was refreshing to feel what it’s like to fall for a person so deeply.”

Open to a new romance, Yang Mi seemingly shows her readiness in her latest appearance as  a global ambassador at a beauty brand press conference in Sanya. A fashion icon, the actress continues to enchant many with her elegant beauty.
