Bai Lu and Zhang Binbin Rumored to Star in “Peaceful Like a Dream”

Chinese historical romance Peaceful Like a Dream <寧安如夢> is rumored to be led by stars Bai Lu (白鹿) and Vin Zhang Binbin (張彬彬). Both are still busy filming for other projects, but are expected to jump straight into shooting for the new drama once they are free.

Adapted from popular novel Kun Ning <坤寧> by author Shi Jing (時鏡), it tells a love story between the intelligent and charming palace lady Jiang Xuening and the kind-looking but calculative imperial preceptor Xie Wei. Equally head-strong and ambitious for power, they secretly disguise their motives -in while quietly observing for the right moment to make their strikes. However, their facades are threatened to shatter when they unexpectedly develop feelings for each other.

Peaceful Like a Dream is helmed by director Chu Yuibun (朱銳斌), who worked on Ashes of Love <香蜜沉沉烬如霜> and The Long Ballad <长歌行>. There are high expectations for a great detailed and quality aesthetic production.

While official announcements are yet to be released, the casting leaks  are believed to be true as they came from reliable insider accounts. Filming is expected to begin after Bai Lu completes Till The End Of The Moon <長月燼明> and Binbin wraps up San Fen Ye <三分野> in early March.
