“I’m 48”: Charmaine Sheh Corrects Netizen Who Wrote Her Age As 45
No one pretending to be younger here.
Charmaine Sheh’s popularity has peaked again following the success of TVB drama The Queen of News. She plays tough-as-nails newscaster Man Jie, a character that has found itself the subject of many memes.
Recently, a netizen created a meme using stills of Charmaine and her co-star Samantha Ko from The Queen of News . The netizen also included the ages of the two actresses, 45 for Charmaine and 36 for Samantha, alluding that while Charmaine is nine years older, they both look the same age.
What the netizen did not expect was for Charmaine to see the meme and point out one glaring mistake.
“I’m 48” commented Charmaine.
So she’s 12 — and not nine — years older than Samantha, though we’re sure that wasn’t the point Charmaine was trying to make.
Her response pleased netizens, one of whom complimented her for not having “age-related anxiety”.
Another netizen also praised Charmaine for her ageless beauty. “When you’re 48 or 58, but you still look like you’re in your 30s, you will definitely proudly declare your actual age.”
