Taiwanese Singer Jason Hsu’s Wife Shares How They Lost Their 1st Daughter’s Twin
Taiwanese singer Jason Hsu (许孟哲) and his wife Bernice Chao (趙孟姿), recently announced some very good news. The couple apparently celebrated the safe arrival of their second child on 2nd July! Like any proud dad, Jason happily revealed photos of his newborn son Liam on socials.
Although Bernice shared in her husband’s happiness, Liam’s arrival brought back memories of their first child, Doreen’s birth. As it turns out, Doreen actually had a twin. Unfortunately, they never made it.
Bernice is currently in confinement after Liam’s birth. However, that hasn’t stopped the 35-year-old model from hosting live-broadcasts to interact with fans. During a recent broadcast, Bernice shared more about her term carrying Doreen.
After marrying in 2019, the couple had been excited to announce Bernice was pregnant. As it turns out, Bernice had actually been pregnant with twins. However, during a check-up, the doctor noticed that one of them had stopped growing. It was later discovered that said child was also missing a heartbeat. Bernice reluctantly aborted the twin, but thankfully, the eldest twin had survived. She was later birthed safely and named Doreen!
Although Bernice’s first pregnancy wasn’t easy, she claims that her second pregnancy was easier. Liam had a natural birth and Bernice is apparently recovering faster. Of course, it helps that Jason is accompanying her. Bernice shared that currently, Jason is on leave from work and is helping her with the kids.
The former Taiwanese boyband 5566 member is definitely prioritising his family right now. And after hearing Bernice’s story, fans are all-the more understanding of their situation. Well, we wish the little family all the well as they continue growing together!
