MAMAMOO’s Hwasa Gets A Special Shout-Out From Post Malone And Her Response Is Relatable AF

Hwasa quickly went from celebrity to fan when she saw the post.

MAMAMOO‘s Hwasa just experienced a moment fans often dream about, and her reaction was all too relatable.

Hwasa has had a busy few months. She ended June with her solo festival performance at the 2022 WATERBOMB festival in Seoul alongside ZicoEXO‘s KaiSunmi, and more.

Then it was off to Europe in July, where Hwasa performed at the 2022 HallyuPopFest in London. While in Europe, she also attended the Valentino Haute Couture Show in Rome. While at the show, she was seated beside American actress Anne Hathaway, who she seemed to befriend quickly. She was also seated near Vogue‘s editor-in-chief and artistic director of Condé NastAnna Wintour, and Valentino’s co-founder, Giancarlo Giammetti.

Hwasa shined in an all-pink Valentino outfit, which looked stunning in contrast with her dark hair.

The MAMAMOO idol also recently released a collaboration with Korean rapper Loco, who she’s worked with before. After their first collaboration, the duo became beloved by fans for their fun friendship.

While her schedule seemed jam-packed, Hwasa made the time to cover American artist Post Malone‘s new song, “I Like You (A Happier Song),” which features American rapper and singer Doja Cat. The cover was a special release for Hwasa’s birthday.

Hwasa’s cover earned fans praise for her impressive vocal performance and effortless style in the music video.

It seems the incredible performance also caught the eye of Post Malone himself as he posted the cover on his Facebook and gave a shout-out to Hwasa.

Hwasa reposted Post Malone’s comment on her Instagram story. Post Malone wrote in Korean, “Thank you for the cool video Hwasa.”

Hwasa was at a loss for words and posted a speechless emoji to her story. She also posted texts she had sent to someone in disbelief that Post Malone had posted her cover.

Hwasa: Oh my god

Hwasa: Is that really Post Malone?

Hwasa: If so, then I am a successful fan

It seems even K-Pop stars as confident and collected as Hwasa become flustered when receiving compliments from their idols. The praise was well-deserved; hopefully, we’ll be able to see an epic collab between the two artists one day.
