The Differences Between Internet Persona MsPuiyi & The Real Siew Pui Yi

What you see online isn’t always the truth. The same goes for public figures who have an image to uphold for their fans. As such, some might argue that the internet celebrity or influencer on social media is vastly different than the person they know in real life. Well, as it turns out, MsPuiyi aka Siew Pui Yi also agrees!

MsPuiyi has always been seen as a local, bold sex icon. However, Siew Pui Yi does not view herself as such. Pui Yi recently shared how she crafted MsPuiyi, how she keeps her internet personality separate from herself and where the lines blur.

As everyone knows the highly adored model has not had an easy career. Most fans know she started modelling while nude after someone leaked her nudes. At the time, Pui Yi viewed it as a way to regain power over what she had lost. Well, she quickly rose to fame after becoming the first Malaysian to appear on the Penthouse cover. Since then, she’s charted her own path by delving into singing, being an influencer and even maintaining a YouTube channel.

But, there’s no denying how her internet persona has consistently landed her in hot water. Still, Pui Yi has been unrepentant, claiming it’s mostly for entertainment. In fact, Pui Yi adds that she puts a lot of thought into her pleasing visage. “I work hard for my (creations) and the results you see are not just finished products,” Pui Yi told 风采Feminine in a recent interview. “(My followers) are the result of careful research, (studying) data and understanding the psychology of fans.”

MsPuiyi is definitely a self-made woman. However, Pui Yi has also made it clear that being MsPuiyi is a job. “Everyone understands that this is work and a form of entertainment,” she stated when asked how her fans treat her. “(So) I don’t face unreasonable behaviours in my daily life.” Pui Yi added that the way she dresses in her daily life differs from when she is MsPuiyi.

That’s not the only aspect where they differ. “My work image and personal thoughts are not exactly the same,” Pui Yi explained. “MsPuiyi is a brand, and everyone’s perception of this image is the result of my careful design. I’m proud of it, but it is not all me.” Pui Yi stated that MsPuiyi’s image is “sexy, with a bold behaviour“. But MsPuiyi is also unattainable and set apart as a fantasy. Pui Yi claimed that this ‘fantasy’ is what encourages her fans to keep following her.

In fact, MsPuiyi may be framed as a lusty figure, but Pui Yi still believes in having love in sex. “Sex is important but it has to be interesting,” she stated. “It is an (occasion) where two people seek happiness together.” However, it seems both Pui Yi and MsPuiyi are still very much aligned when it comes to how women should be in bed.

“It’s difficult to generalize, but most men like girls who are bold in bed,” the 24-year-old opined. “Sex is (meant) to be pleasant, and it is important you let yourself enjoy it too!” Pui Yi added that she believes the myth of men liking virgins is no longer feasible. “I believe most men like girls who are a little horny in bed,” she confidently stated.

Well, not everyone may agree with Pui Yi’s thoughts, but you definitely have to respect her drive! Be it as MsPuiyi or just Pui Yi, she has never shied away from working hard to get what she wants. We’re certain we’ll continue to see more of MsPuiyi in the future!
