The Weeknd’s $70 Million Bel-Air Mansion Is Featured in ‘The Idol’
The Weeknd paid $70 million for his Bel Air mansion back in 2021 and he’s put it to good use as it’s featured in his new HBO series The Idol!
Lily-Rose Depp‘s character Jocelyn lives in the house that the singer owns in real life.
The house features 33,000 square feet of living space and so many incredible features, including a home movie theater, a music studio, an indoor pool, a gym, a sauna, and more. Outside there is an infinity pool with a waterfall that overlooks another level of the property. There’s also a sports court!
The house was chosen as a filming location after The Weeknd and The Idol creator Sam Levinson decided to reshoot the pilot episode.
“If we were going to reshoot from the beginning, I knew it had to be for less money,” Sam told W Magazine. “Quitting the show wasn’t an option for Abel or me. It was a dream that we had together and we had to see it through.”
Abel‘s house was used as a cost-cutting measure!
