Indulge for a good cause this Sands for Singapore Charity Festival (4-6 August)
Come 4-6 August, Marina Bay Sands is inviting everyone to indulge for a good cause during its annual signature event – the Sands for Singapore Charity Festival – at the bustling Event Plaza set against the glistening Marina Bay waterfront. Themed Where Hearts Come Together, this year’s Festival will take place over the weekend leading to National Day, and one of the most anticipated highlights is three gourmet pop-ups by Marina Bay Sands’ signature restaurants – Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, RISE and Yardbird Southern Table & Bar! Specially priced for all to play their part for charity, all proceeds will be donated to the local Community Chest.
In celebration of the Lion City’s most treasured flavours, the three gourmet pop-ups will put a creative spin on local favourites in addition to their all-time signature dishes
Gourmet highlights include:
Black Tap’s Singapore-exclusive National Day CrazyShake®, gourmet burgers and craft beers. Decked in patriotic colours of the Singapore flag, the pastel pink hued bandung CrazyShake® comes with a vanilla frosted rim cup with red and white star sprinkles, a red and white cake slice, crescent icing cookie and a cherry to sweeten the celebrations.
RISE’s array of classic local hawker fare, a celebration of Singapore’s multicultural make-up. The integrated resort’s signature buffet restaurant will be offering popular snacks like satay, ngoh hiang, vegetarian kathi roll and kueh ayu puteri to set all hearts aflutter.
Yardbird’s creative spin on local favourites and comforting American flavours, lovingly crafted for an indulgently good time. Take delight in five creative dishes, from the power-packed mala x reaper fried chicken, to smoked brisket ‘slider’, ginormous mac & cheese croquette, and other tantalising sides like the Angus beef chilli fries and corn in cup “elote”, and Yardbird’s signature blackberry bourbon lemonade cocktail.
Throughout the Festival, guests can also look forward to:
Heartwork: A Community Weaving Studio, an all-new community-driven tapestry weaving initiative, where the public are invited to weave fabrics using upcycled linens and fabrics sourced from Marina Bay Sands to form colourful tapestries for a good cause.
The popular and bustling Giving Marketplace, where 16 non-profit organisations and social enterprises – representing vulnerable communities from special needs trainees to visually impaired artists – will offer a range of lifestyle items, baked goods and handcrafted products for sale.
Electrifying performances by local powerhouses Glenn Yong, Iman Fandi and Sezairi alongside other talented homegrown artists including pop rock band 53A, Alt-rock band Chasing Daylight and singer-songwriter lullaboy.
