Zhang Ziyi & Wang Feng Announce Divorce

Chinese stars Zhang Ziyi, 44, and Wang Feng, 52, are no longer wife and husband.

The couple, who got married in 2015, released identical statements this afternoon (Oct 23) announcing their divorce.

“After careful consideration and discussion, we have decided to end our marriage of eight years. We will move on as family members in raising and nurturing our kids, and will continue to be reliable parents to them,” read their announcement.

“We’ve had a blissful marriage. In these eight years, we’ve worked together to look after our family and raise our kids, and have poured our love into building a happy life. There are no arguments as to who has done right or wrong between us, and the split was not caused by disappointment or betrayal. This was a mutual decision between two adults, and we hope to have the understanding and support of everyone,” they continued.

They emphasised that the split will not affect the love they have for their children, further stating that they would not be addressing the matter anymore.

This was Wang Feng’s third marriage. He was married to host Qi Dan from 2003 to 2004, and was secretly married from 2007 to 2013 to Kang Zuoru, with whom he has a daughter, Jingyi, 11.

He has another daughter, 18-year-old Apple, with ex-girlfriend, Chinese model Ge Huijie.

Wang Feng and Ziyi have two kids together, eight-year-old daughter Xing Xing, and a three-year-old son.
