EXO Members And SM Entertainment Slammed Over “Blacklisting” Of CBX From Anniversary
Fans seem to want all the members to be treated fairly.
On April 8, EXO celebrated their 13th anniversary since debut, and, like all SM groups, had merchandise items announced for fans to purchase.

The announcement on the group’s X account initially sparked excitement.
However, upon closer examination, fans were surprised that only three members were available for the member-specific items.

EXO’s line-up currently consists of nine members, with Sehun currently enlisted and all but Chanyeol, Suho, and Kai having left SM Entertainment. While it makes sense that the other members may not be included in the merch because SM cannot profit from their images, fans were still angered by the MD sales post.
The source of many fans’ anger came from the first reference to the anniversary was the sales post that did not include all members, instead of a congratulatory message.
Another source of anger came later on with Chanyeol, Suho, D.O., and Kai holding an anniversary live stream. This time, instead of just directing their anger towards the company, many turned it on to the members, accusing them of allowing the “blacklisting” of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin related to the trio’s legal issues with SM to happen.
