5th Gen Group Show Signs Of Abuse, Alarm Fans With Distress Signals
Fans have demanded a response from their company.
Fans have shared their concern for the members of FANTASY BOYS.

Recently, a clip from what seemed to be a live stream has been circulating online. At first, nothing seems alarming as the members wave to the camera.
However, some noticed that Minseo‘s hand motion was not as random as it seemed. Showing the palm of your hand to the camera, tucking your thumb, and trapping the thumb in your fingers is an international sign of needing help, usually from an abusive situation.
This signal was created as a tool to help combat the rise in domestic abuse during COVID-19 lockdowns, to be used on video calls.

This is not the only time that the signal has been shown by a member of Fantasy Boys. Minseo made the signal earlier in the live stream, while member Hanbin did the signal during an ending fairy for a music show.
Additionally, fans have shared several messages from the members sent on a fan chatting platform, detailing the mistreatment they allegedly face.
Member Hanbin appeared on a music show the day after his grandfather’s passing, after being given just three days to grieve. Sungmin and Minseo shared messages expressing how difficult things are for them, with the latter saying that he was “not okay.”

Sungmin: Today was another tough day…
Sungmin: I just got home
Sungmin: Phew…
Sungmin: Today, honestly, it’s been nonstop since this morning…

Minseo: I just got off work
Minseo: It’s not easy…
Minseo: I originally just wanted to say I’m okay
Minseo: But I don’t think I’m okay
Minseo: It’s a bit overwhelming
Fans were only made aware of member Kaeden’s hiatus through a post made by another member and notices from stores selling event albums, while others have allegedly been made to promote while ill.
Many, even outside of the group’s fandom, have expressed concern for the group, using a hashtag to spread awareness of the possible abuse they are facing.
Fantasy Boys were formed by a survival show of the same name, and made their debut in 2023.
