Hu Yitian and Li Yitong to Lead “Dt. Appledog’s Time”

After the success of rom-com Go Go Squid! <亲爱的,热爱的>, its spin-off series Dt. Appledog’s Time <亲爱的,挚爱的> was immediately in the works. Although Li Xian (李現) and Andy Yang (楊紫) will not be returning as the main cast, they will be making a cameo appearance in support of the series. Instead, Dt. Appledog’s Time will be lead by popular Mainland Chinese actors Hu Yitian (胡一天) and Li Yitong (李一桐), who might bring about a refreshing change. The team has high hopes that Dt. Appledog’s Time will achieve the same popularity as the previous season.

According to The National Radio and Television Administration’s official announcement, the drama will follow the story of Wu Bai (played by Yitian), also known as Dt. As the youngest player of the national robot competition, he earns the title of a dark horse with his extreme talent. Dt manages to lead his team into the competition’s final round, where he competes against Ai Qing, also known as AppleDog (played by Yitong), who he has long admired.

Later, they both represent China in the Asian Championships and successfully make their country proud with their outstanding achievements. Dt and AppleDog both have big dreams in promoting interest in robot technology and striving to pave the path for the younger generation to become passionate about future science and innovation.

Despite being competitors, AppleDog is attracted to Dt’s perseverance and unmatchable skills. Likewise, her passion, persistence on pursuing her dreams, and exceptional gameplay also greatly impressed Dt and gained his respect. Their admiration and respect for each other naturally became seeds of romance as they grow close during the competitions.
