NCT 127-NCT DREAM, side by side album sales surpassed 3 million ‘double slope’

NCT 127 (NCT 127) and NCT DREAM (NCT Dream, under SM Entertainment) both surpassed 3 million album sales and captivated the music industry in 2021.

NCT DREAM, which released their first full album in May of this year, and NCT 127, which made a comeback with their 3rd full-length album in September, swept domestic and other global music charts, renewing their own best scores, and are making strides forward. The performances of the two teams, which heated up the first half and the second half, achieved dazzling results in album sales as well, reaching the double climax of becoming a triple million seller with sales of more than 3 million copies each.

Previously, NCT DREAM recorded about 2,071,000 copies with its 1st full-length album ‘Hot Sauce’ in May and 1279,000 copies with its repackage ‘Hello Future’ in June, and accumulated sales of the first full-length album. It surpassed 3.35 million copies and took the first place in album sales in the first half of the year.

In addition, NCT 127 also sold 2.4 million copies following the release of 2.15 million copies within a week of its 3rd full-length album ‘Sticker’ in September, and also with the repackage ‘Favorite’ in October. With a record of 1.174,000 copies, the cumulative sales of the 3rd full-length album exceeded 3.58 million copies (as of November 7th).

The combined sales of NCT 127 and NCT DREAM released this year is 6.93 million copies, a 3.2-fold increase compared to the 2.15 million album sales of the two groups released last year (as of December 31, 2020). , proved the brand power of NCT, which is getting stronger day by day.  

As such, NCT 127 and NCT DREAM, which have proven their powerful ripple effect and popularity by setting triple million seller records side by side in 5 months, are capturing the global music market beyond Korea with their unstoppable moves. Accordingly, NCT 127 and NCT DREAM, who are leading the global craze as ‘K-pop representatives’, are paying attention to their future activities.
