Lizzo just gave a very empowering speech at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.

The 34-year-old “About Damn Time” singer was honored with the People’s Champion Award during the awards show held on Tuesday (December 6) at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

In her acceptance speech, Lizzo said that she always uses her platform to “amplify marginalized voices” before bringing tons of female advocates.

“Tonight, I am sharing this honor,” Lizzo said before bringing out the women advocates. “Make some noise for the people, y’all. These are all activists and people that I think deserve the spotlight.”

The women all advocate for different charities, including female rights workers, transgender advocates, gun violence organization founders, indigenous peoples champions and more.

Lizzo gave each woman their moment in the spotlight, highlighted their charity work, and explained why she’s in awe of each one of them.

Give them their flowers!” Lizzo concluded. “Power will always be to the people! Thank you so much People’s Choice. Follow them and support them. OK, bye.”

FYI: Lizzo is wearing an Alexander McQueen dress with a Pamela Love ring.
