Man with suspected mental illness nabbed for charging at people at Sungai Buloh MRT station
SUNGAI BULOH: A man with suspected mental illness was detained for posing a danger to the public at the Sungai Buloh MRT station.
Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said that police were alerted to the man’s actions on July 6.
“An auxiliary policeman had received a complaint from a member of the public that her father had been chased by an unknown man.
“The policeman and his partner tracked down the suspect underneath the staircase. He then pointed a pair of scissors at the policemen before he started to chase other members of the public.
“The suspect was arrested with the help of the public,” he said.
He added that the suspect has been remanded until July 9 and was currently being detained at the hospital.
