Here’s How You Can Get Free Money With E-Tunai Rakyat

The Government will launch the RM450 million e-Tunai Rakyat programme starting tomorrow, which will allow any Malaysian aged 18 years old and above earning less than RM100,000 annually to receive RM30 through one of three e-wallet operators, namely Grab, Boost and Touch ‘n Go.

The e-Tunai Rakyat programme is part of the Budget 2020 that was announced by the Ministry of Finance last year. The move is expected to benefit up to 15 million Malaysians, offering them a one-time payment of RM30!

All eligible Malaysians are free to choose any one of the three e-wallet operators to claim their free RM30 and once claimed, they may choose to spend the money on goods and services available on the respective e-wallet platform. On top of that, the chosen e-wallet operators will also provide additional incentives, so eligible Malaysians may expect more than just that RM30!

The initiative is aimed at widening digital payments adoption amongst Malaysian consumers and merchants and to honour the government’s commitment to fulfil the Shared Prosperity agenda by reducing barriers to digitalisation and improving financial inclusivity in the country.

So hurry! Register with any one of the e-wallet platforms by March 14th 2020 to benefit from the RM450 million e-Tunai Rakyat programme. To ensure a speedy process, the RM30 must be spent starting from January 15th 2020 until March 14th 2020.
